I’m from a small northern Ontario town formerly called Haileybury. As a kid, I played hockey, rode my snow machine, fished, played hockey and caused some trouble on my BMX. I left that wonderful world behind when high school was finished to pursue my dreams. I started my first company when I was 19 and just into college. It was called ECO-TECH – a design build landscape company – and it helped pay my way through the summer breaks. As a side venture, I wrote a book called The Home Owner’s Guide to Landscape Maintenance and self-published the old fashioned way: cut and paste and photocopier. I made my way to local home and garden shows and sold the book for $9.99. Although I sold every copy, looking back now, I’m quite certain people bought out of sympathy and kindness. This started my venture into business, and since then, I’ve started a number of companies. FUSION BODYBODYBUILDING is the most notable, which I still play a very active roll in today. The common thread through all my business ventures is they all began with an idea that excited me. An idea is a catalyst to build something great. It’s with this belief that the MINDSET TOUR was created, and it’s with this same spirit that the idea is moving forward.
