The MINDSET Tour came about when I discovered some health issues that would challenge my freedom and love of riding motorcycles. For 10 years, I had experienced lower back pain. This pain – combined with a string of other events – led me to discover I unknowingly broke my back leading to degenerative disc disease, compounded by advanced stages of osteoarthritis in my back and hips. This diagnosis explained a lot and was very humbling. It reinforced that life is short and we have to do as much as we can to soak it all up. So… why not travel across the country? In fact… why not travel across Canada and the USA while raising money for cancer?

That, my friends, is how the MINDSET TOUR was conceived. I made the commitment to do this ride without knowing what gear I’d need or if it would even be possible for me to go on such a journey. I still don’t know if it’s feasible, but I’m going to do it anyway! Ten thousand kilometers, 21 days, 15 cities, 2 countries, 1 Moto Guzzi V7 and infinite smiles, tears and frustrations… but I can’ wait! I hope you’ll follow along with me on my Instagram page as I head out on June 19, 2016. Your words of encouragement will no doubt be needed.
